We are excited to announce that the Two County Dusters will be performing during the Bull Riding!
Forming in 1997, the Two County Dusters drill team started as a way to enhance and broaden the horsemanship of youth in southwest Iowa and has continued to grow as a youth development program which promotes interest in the equine industry, community involvement and a sense of American pride.
The Two County Dusters are currently 21 members strong and hold tryouts for new members every spring. The members range in age from the 4th grade to 12th grade. They have grown from a small 2-County 4-H area (Fremont and Page) to present where they currently cover five counties throughout southwest Iowa, southeast Nebraska, and northwest Missouri. Each team member is required to try out for the team yearly to ensure the strongest team possible. The team is currently under the direction of leaders: Beth Carlson of Yorktown, Alan Driever of Sidney, and Josh Sunderman of Clarinda.
These hard-working, young people are pleased to be joining us in Sidney this year for the Battle of the Bulls and take pride in showing you their skills at each performance. So grab your hat and hold on tight as they take you for a ride!
